At work today
Last week I attended a PMV ManagementBase workshop discussing the virtual synergies at work. I would not be able to make it back until Friday. Progress is slow, but the PMV ManagementBase people are very cooperative. I was told that I am going to start with the PLE tomorrow.

I have to write a document on PLE. This morning I was briefed that the reorganisation is only the first of three phases. Gerald heard that I'll be working on the new PLE. What's the deal now? PMV ManagementBase will be finished next week. I have to keep working on the PMV ManagementBase and cannot start with PLE next Tuesday, so I was told by my manager.

From the business wire
I just read this Bloomberg page.
Chicago Sun-Times
Ooh yeah, I knew it would happen: Chicago to allow Sunday liquor sales to begin earlier to allow Bears and Cubs fans the opportunity to dull the pain before games more easily.

I saw 'Good Night, and Good Luck.'
Just saw the movie Good Night, and Good Luck..
I'll definitely be going to the movie again, and probably more than once!

The story of 'Good Night, and Good Luck.' is basically like this. Broadcast journalist Edward R. Murrow (Strathairn) looks to bring down Senator Joseph McCarthy.

The direction (by George Clooney) was superb, Patricia Clarkson's performance is truly stellar. Patricia Clarkson is brilliant too.
Go see this movie! A must see.
At the office today
At work my supervisor complemented me for my progress. I am supposed to get a copy of the HintCore for the complete team. Some things are just unpredictable huh? ModDev will be finished next Wednesday. Oh well. Why hasn't anyone told me?
Fresh from the wire
A Chaldean Catholic archbishop who was kidnapped in Iraq last month was found dead on Thursday, his body half-buried in an empty lot in the northern city of Mosul, police said.

Right on. Of all the ways you can possibly screw up a skydive jump, this one takes the cake.
Today at work
Today I had to play it low. I will need to attend some seminar. Rumours say that I was supposed to deal with NHL. I was told that I will have to get a copy of the NHL for the complete group. Progress is slow, but the ElecStore people are very cooperative. Yesterday I attended a ElecStore meeting discussing the cross-media action-items. So they change it again. I heard from my supervisor yesterday that the new strategy for ElecStore is paying off. Sigh.

I saw 'Waiting...'
Waiting... was truly overwhelming, last saturday I went to the movies and saw it.

Mitch (Daley), a new employee at Shenanigans, a restaurant known for its impossibly cheery staff, is introduced to "The Game," a competition to be the eatery's top waiter.
That is pretty much the story of 'Waiting...'
Monk Protests in Tibet Draw Chinese Security
Intruder scales fence onto Heathrow runway makes quite an interesting read. An inquiry is to be held by senior police and Heathrow executives into how a man carrying a rucksack managed to breach security at the airport and run towards an aircraft on a runway.
